The holiday season is right around the corner and with that comes one of the most exciting events of the year, Hawley Winterfest. Events at Hawley Winterfest
Over the course of the 3-day winter celebration, you will find plenty of festive events to get you into the holiday spirit. Create a holiday card, choose between over 5,000 handmade cookies at the annual cookie walk, or take a holiday house tour of beautifully decorated Hawley homes. If you’re looking to buy an original handmade item at the festival, be sure to visit the annual holiday artisan’s fair at Hawley Silk Mill. The fair is free and will be filled with one of a kind artwork and crafts for purchase. What would a holiday event be without a visit from the jolly old elf himself: Santa Claus. You or your pet will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and even tell him an item or two on your Christmas list. The list of fun activities goes on and on. Be sure to stop by the Beer Tour, glasswork demonstrations, Christmas shows, children’s activities, or cozy up with a blanket on the horse-drawn carriage rides around town.
What’s a holiday celebration without the holiday carols we all know and love? There are plenty of opportunities during Hawley Winterfest to sit back with a mug of warm cider and enjoy some holiday tunes. In years past, crowds have enjoyed Jinglebell Jazz at the library, a holiday handbell concert, jazz from A Charlie Brown Christmas, and The Virgin Consort performing traditional and Victorian carols. Stay tuned for an updated schedule of all the events happening this year.
