One of Hawley’s favorite annual events is Hawley Winterfest. This year, the town will celebrate its December 9 through 11. This festival is jam packed with family events including a children’s show at the community theater, holiday music at the library, an Artisan Craft Fair for early holiday shopping, lots of kids’ activities and crafts, and a visit from Santa. Also, adults will enjoy the Winterfest beer tour which includes 11 participating bars.
Neighboring town Honesdale, PA is home to The Stourbridge Line Train Excursions. Each year, kids delight in The Santa Express which begins the weekend after Thanksgiving. Riders will receive a gift from Santa, a souvenir ticket, and a candy cane.
Here at The Settlers Inn, we have many events planned for the holiday season. When you visit the Inn, you will be delighted in the holiday décor including a giant gingerbread house replica of The Settlers Inn. It is a Settlers favorite next to the large decorated tree that adorns the dining room. We would love to have you join us in December for our Candlelight Christmas Dinner. Come dressed in your holiday attire and enjoy an elegant candlelit dinner in the dining room. Chef Kate will prepare a farm to table seasonal holiday menu. The dinner will be on December 2, 3 and 4. Another opportunity to come together with family and friends is at our Winterfest Brunch. On December 10-11, we will host a festive brunch with music by harpist Kristy Chmura.
