Known as the lake region’s biggest event of the year is the annual Wally Lake Fest. Wally Lake Fest is the perfect way to end the summer season. There are so many fun events planned for this year’s 3 day weekend, you won’t want to miss a moment of the fun. Here is our list of the top events at this year’s Wally Lake Fest.
Presented by the Downtown Hawley Partnership, Lighthouse Harbor Marina and Silver Birches, Wally Lake Fest will take place on August 24th through the 26th. With everything from live music on the lake to boat parades, you are sure to find plenty of fun things to keep you busy. Kicking off the festivities is Jazz on the Deck right here at The Settlers Inn. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm you can come out and enjoy jazz from Nancy and Spencer Reed. There will be cocktail service or you can pay to enjoy the delicious BBQ buffet.
New this year will be our Wally Lake Fest Brunch at the inn available Saturday or Sunday for $39/Person with complimentary bottomless mimosas and omelet station.
Cocoon Coffee House will host the Mojito Ice Bar from noon until 6:00 pm on Saturday. Presented by Don Q Rum, come out and enjoy a beverage made with fresh local fruit, mint, and Don Q Rum on a custom ice bar created by Sculpted Ice Works. While you are at Hawley Silk Mill on Saturday or Sunday, be sure to visit their Artisan Craft Fair from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. You’ll find artisans, crafts, and local food just to name a few.
Our sister property, Ledges Hotel, will be the hot spot for their Blues, Brews, and BBQ Sunday night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Scott Weiss Band will be the evening’s entertainment.
Silver Birches Resort, will host music all 3 nights. You won’t want to miss their lakeside Luau Friday night starting at 4:00 pm.
In addition to these top events, there are other festivities planned all over Hawley. Friday night’s other activities include the Wallenpaupack Scenic Boat Tour and a performance at the Ritz Company Playhouse. On Saturday, be sure to stop by the Ice Cream Social, Boat Watercraft and Outdoor Show, the Wild Mushroom Walk, Sailboat rides, and the Car Cruise of Hawley.
