Iron Hart Brewery
“Make and enjoy beers to be proud of.” That is the idea behind local brewery Iron Hart Craft Brewing. This fun brewery serves up nine beers on tap, a light menu and live music. They can be found at 10 Enterprise Drive in Carbondale.
Pioneer Nights Block Party
When it comes to annual events, the Pioneer Nights Block Party is one you’ll want to attend. This fun event features food vendors and live entertainment on the main stage. This kid-friendly festivities take place in mid-August with free admission.
Archbald Pothole State Park
Just five miles from Carbondale you’ll find Archbald Pothole State Park. This park features a 38-foot deep “pothole” that has been around for 15,000 years. Once the park reopens in April, you’ll be able to enjoy the hiking and hunting offered there.
Merli-Sarnoski Park
Once spring is in the air, you’ll want to find a fun place to spend time outdoors. Find your way to Merli-Sarnoski Park. This 840-acre park is home to a 35-acre lake which is great for swimming and fishing. Visitors looking for a little adventure will enjoy the park’s mountain bike trail and the 15 miles of hiking trails. Plan a picnic and spend some time at the playground or the sandy beach area.
Panorama Golf Course
Just seven miles from Carbondale is Panorama Golf Course. Situated on 160 acres is this beautiful scenic 18-hole course. Golfers of all skill levels will enjoy the rolling hills and views of the surrounding woodlands. Prices start at just $12 for 9 holes walking during the week. No need to leave the property for a great meal, as the course is also home to The Haymow Bar and Grill. Fill up on a delicious cheeseburger or wrap and a local beer after your time on the green.
