The Beat Goes On- Summer Music Series Continues

The summer music series at each of our Hawley properties are some of the most anticipated events of the entire year. We’re thrilled to continue the tradition.

Jazz on the Deck

It’s one of the greatest pleasures of summer- savoring a fine meal outdoors while listening to live music. Jazz on the Deck at The Settlers Inn elevates that experience. Every Wednesday evening during summer, a rotating lineup of talented jazz musicians entertains from 6-9 p.m. Many of the featured performers are regulars on the New York City club scene.

Enjoy farm-to-table cuisine overlooking the Inn’s manicured garden or choose a table on the lawn and take advantage of cocktail and full dinner service. The highly anticipated series begins on June 5 with Hang ’em High. Wednesdays in June also bring performances by Gary Rixner (June 12), “All That Jazz” with Michelle Oram (June 19), and Art Lillard’s On Time Band (June 26). The music continues with Joe Michaels Trio featuring Adam Nussbaum and Mitch Stein (July 3), The Andrea Wolper Trio (July 10), The Gabrielle Tranchina Quartet (July 17), The Rick Lawn Trio (July 24) and Robert Kopec Quartet (July 31). August brings appearances by Last Thursday Band (August 7) Judi Silvano (Aug 14), Stefan Bauer (Aug 21), and jazz vocalist Thos Shipley (Aug 28). Jack Mead and The Third Street Band will help us celebrate Wally Lake Fest Weekend (Aug 23).

Lakeside Live

Live music at The Dock at Wallenpaupack keeps the summer celebration going all weekend. A rotating lineup of musicians performs along the shoreline at Silver Birches Resort every Saturday and Sunday during summer. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely late lunch, dinner or drinks at The Dock overlooking Lake Wallenpaupack while listening to the talented performers. Order cocktails, sandwiches and snacks at Captain Wally’s Cocktail Cove to enjoy on the lawn lakeside. Menu options include burgers, hot dogs and a turkey sandwich. Boats may anchor in the water, order Dock and Dine from the restaurant and chill out to the music. Bands perform from 2-5 p.m. The lineup features local favorites such as Secret Reasons, Greg Kondrat, Strange Brew and Johnny D.

Blues, Brews & BBQ

Nothing says summer like barbecue. Every Sunday during summer, Glass- Wine.Bar.Kitchen at Ledges Hotel pairs the pastime with live blues music served on the deck overlooking Paupack High Falls. Order from the menu or enjoy barbecue specials. Dinner is paired with craft brews from Runaway Train Brewery in Honesdale. Wallenpaupack Gorge serves as a natural amphitheater to showcase the talents of noted blues musicians. Blues, Brews and BBQ returns May 26 and continues every Sunday through Labor Day weekend.
