For a fun filled family weekend, Hawley Winterfest is back this year from December 12th through the 14th. This community wide event offers fun activities by day including live music, a cookie walk, carriage rides through downtown, crafts, exhibits and a holiday home tour just to name a few. In the evening, there is a tree lighting, roasting marshmallows by the bonfire, pictures with Santa, a live nativity and plenty more to get you in out of the cold. Historic Honesdale, PA celebrates the season with their annual Honesdale for the Holidays. There will be a Santa parade, tree lighting and open houses at many of the stores for early Christmas shopping. For a walk through a holiday display of over 400,000 lights, visit the Franklin Festival of Lights at Phifer Ice Dam Park. This event is fun for all ages. Festive music and even a visit from the jolly Santa himself can be seen nightly. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.

Dan Bradley will be the evening’s entertainment with music on the piano. The Undercroft Jazz Supper Club will offer a three-course, gourmet prix fixe menu for $85.00 per person. Seatings will be at 8:00, 8:30 and 9:00 and will include hats, noisemakers, live jazz music and champagne.
