Exciting Events at Hawley Winterfest This Year!
Over the course of the three-day winter celebration, you will find plenty of merry events to get you into the holiday spirit. Create a holiday card, choose among over 5,000 handmade cookies from 30 varieties at the annual cookie walk, or take a holiday house tour of beautifully decorated Hawley homes.
For an original handmade craft item, visit the annual holiday Artisans’ Fair at Hawley Silk Mill. The fair is free and filled with one-of-a-kind arts and crafts created by regional artists and available for purchase. What would a holiday event be without a visit from the jolly old elf himself? You and your pet will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and even tell him an item or two on your Christmas list.
The list of fun activities goes on and on. Be sure to stop by the Beer Tour, the holiday pop-up restaurant, the ugly Christmas sweater party, sculpted ice bar, or cozy up with a blanket on the horse-drawn carriage ride around town.
There are plenty of opportunities during Hawley Winterfest to sit back with a mug of warm cider or hot chocolate and enjoy some holiday carols. In years past, crowds enjoyed Jingle Bell Jazz at the library, a holiday handbell concert, live music at our sister property Ledges Hotel, and The Virgin Consort performing traditional and Victorian carols. Stay tuned for an updated schedule of events happening this year.
The Settlers Inn is the perfect place to stay while you’re in town for Hawley Winterfest!
The Settlers Inn is a beautiful place to stay during all seasons, but the Inn comes alive during the holidays. We kick off December with our annual Candlelight Christmas event happening December 6, 7 and 8. Dinner is served by candlelight in our dining room accompanied by the glow of the decorated Christmas Tree. Enjoy a special menu for the evening and live entertainment. Before dinner, take a carriage ride into Bingham Park where you’ll see the tree lit in the gazebo and the streets lined with luminaries.
Our sister property, Silver Birches Resort, will host a special Open House Holiday Party December 14 with dinner and dancing. Stick around on Sunday for Breakfast with Santa and a gingerbread house decorating.
During Hawley Winterfest, come to the Inn dressed in your holiday attire to enjoy a holiday brunch on December 14 and 15. Our Winterfest Brunch will feature a seasonal menu and music by harpist Kristy Chmura. The Inn comes to life with holiday spirit with its decorated trees, outside lights, and the magnificent gingerbread house replica of The Settlers Inn. There might even be a dusting of snow on the ground to add to the merry environment.
Come back and celebrate the New Year with us. We will have our two New Year’s Eve Celebrations – on December 31. And our sister property, Silver Birches Resort, will ring in 2020 with a New Year’s Eve Bash!
We look forward to hosting you during Hawley Winterfest. Come and spend the holiday season with us!
