The Black Bear Film Festival in Milford returns October 18-20 for the 20th year. The town comes alive as the festival takes place every third weekend in October.  Since its inception, the Black Bear Film Festival has brought thousands of movie goers to the area to celebrate the community. Don’t miss the opening gala for the Black Bear Film Festival complete with red carpet entrance, dinner and cocktails.

Where?

Milford, Pennsylvania is only about 25 miles from Hawley, Pennsylvania. The historic town of Milford has many buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Victorian architecture of the buildings is a must-see when visiting the small town.  Milford is a great artsy town with lots of shopping and festivals to attend throughout the year. With fall foliage at its peak, it is a beautiful time of year to visit.

When?

The Black Bear Film Festival in Milford takes place this year from October 18 through 20. The mission of the festival is to entertain, educate, inspire and celebrate the community with great film events. Visitors can view 24 films on the Main Stage.There are three ways to participate in the festival.

  • Gold Pass: $150 and grants admission to the gala, admission to the opening film night and admission to all Saturday and Sunday films. You’ll also receive VIP seating and VIP seating at the Sunday brunch.
  • Gala Tickets: $75 and will give you admission to the gala and the opening night film
  • Single Ticket: $10  is good for Saturday or Sunday films

Events

The opening night gala will take place this year on Friday, October 18 at the historic Milford Theater.  The gala will feature a red carpet entrance, dinner, and cocktails. There will be live entertainment and an opening night film for viewing. The Black Bear Film Festival will host celebrity guests throughout the weekend. Other fun events associated with the Black Bear Film Festival occur in early August and include the Artful Bears Community Picnic and the Black Bear Coloring Contest for all ages.

Stay
