Hawley’s newest brewery is Wallenpaupack Brewing Company. Established in September of 2017, this local brewery is a hot spot for chilling out with a craft beer. The brewery is on Welwood Avenue and is open Thursday through Monday. Their 10,000-square-foot facility produces award-winning craft beer in their on-site brewhouse. They recently won a 1st place award at the West Point 2nd Annual Brew Fest. They also took home the Judge’s Choice Award at The Electric City Tattoo Convention Best of Brews Competition. Make an evening out of your visit to Wallenpaupack Brewing Company and stay for dinner. Their menu features specials like the Italian sausage burger, pulled pork platter, and coconut curry mussels.

Less than a 30-minute drive from Hawley, you’ll find Jam Room Brewing Company in Newfoundland, PA. This brewery was started by a group of friends and lives by the motto “pouring the soundtrack of our lives. We live it. We brew it”. Their beers are created with local ingredients and are inspired by music legends. Stop in for a Muddy Waters brown ale or a Garage Daze Extra Pale Ale.

Dalton, PA is home to Iron Hart Brewery. This brewery is independently owned and operated by a group of friends that started out experimenting with homebrews. Visitors are invited to stop by the Taproom to try one of their uniquely named pints. Just a few beers you may find on tap include the Malarkey Irish Style Red Ale, the Shaving Cream Ale, and the Raker Nut Brown Ale. Their mission is to make and enjoy beers to be proud of.

One fun event featuring local beer that you won’t want to miss is Blues, Brews, and BBQ at Ledges Hotel. Our sister property hosts this event every summer and it is always a great time. The 2019 event kicks off Sunday, May 26th and runs through Sunday, August 25th. (Memorial to Wally Lake Fest) Each evening features a different blues artist from the region. Our neighbors in Honesdale have two great breweries worth visiting. These include Here and Now Brewing Company and Irving Cliff Brewery. Here and Now Brewing Company is located on Main Street in Honesdale. They offer a wide variety of beers IPAs, Pale Ales, Saisons, and Blondes. And if you stop in for a bite to eat, their kitchen is open starting at 3 pm.

Runaway Train Brewery can be found on Chapel Street in Honesdale. Celebrate the rich history of the railroad while sipping the finest craft beers in Pennsylvania. Runaway Train also serves food, so make sure you’re hungry when you arrive. Their extensive menu includes everything from a wild game burger to a fish and chips platter.
