Ready to Eat
Order a take-out meal from the menu that’s packaged hot and ready to enjoy right away. Ready to eat options feature farm-to-table entrees such as Grilled Forks Farms Chicken, Miso Glazed Pan Seared Salmon and Grilled Bistro Steak. Overnight guests may enjoy dishes from the Ready to Eat menu, as well as Picnic Basket options, on the grounds of The Settlers Inn or in the comfort of their room.
These adorable cardboard carriers are packed with portable meals you can take anywhere. Whether savored on the Inn’s lawn, aboard a boat on Lake Wallenpaupack or on a nearby hiking trail, picnic baskets are filled with elevated favorites. Choose from a Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Brioche or a Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap. Nothing says summer like a New England Style Lobster and Shrimp Roll, and Roast Beef on a Brioche Roll is a hearty option. Each Picnic Basket meal includes a premium glass water bottle, an apple, a big cookie and one side such as couscous salad, pasta salad or potato chips. Ready to Heat
For the first time, The Settlers Inn is offering select items from its menu for customers to take home and prepare, complete with instructions from Executive Chef Ben Sutter. Ready to Heat meals can accommodate a family of four and boast the Inn’s signature Birdseed Bread and sides. Pasta options include Pancetta Black Pepper Creamy Tomato Sauce Fettuccine and Baked Ziti. Chicken may be added to either dish. Entrée options also range from the traditional- Brasato Beef Tri Tip Sunday Roast- to the trendy- a Taco Bar with Barbacoa Beef and Sazon Chicken and all the fixings.
Grilling is one of the pleasures of summer. There’s nothing quite like food prepared over an open flame and shared outdoors. Butcher Box gives customers access to restaurant quality cuts of protein to take home and grill. Customers have a choice of seafood, beef or chicken- all perfectly portioned, seasoned and ready to cook. The Settlers Inn chefs send along cooking instructions to create distinctive meals such as Faroe Island Lemon Pepper and Thyme Salmon Steaks, Garlic Rosemary Rubbed Eight Ounce Center Cut Filet Mignon, Old Bay and Chipotle Jumbo Shrimp and Mediterranean Seasoned Freebird Farm Chicken Breast. Spring Watercress and Garden Mint Soup, Couscous Salad and Asparagus are among the sides available to add on to complement the meal. Finish with a Flourish
Any of these options may be paired with beer served at the Inn’s Chestnut Tavern. And customers craving The Inn’s decadent desserts don’t have to go without. Favorites such as The Settlers Inn Signature Toffee Pudding, New York Style Cheesecake and a Baked to Order Cookie Box are all available to go.
All in the Family
Sister properties, Glass-wine.bar.kitchen at Ledges Hotel and The Dock at Wallenpaupack at Silver Birches Resort are also offering creative options for take-out. A Glass trademark, the charcuterie board, is available on the restaurant’s Picnic Basket menu, while Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, a favorite at The Dock, are featured on its Butcher Box menu.
