3, 2, 1, Happy New Year! It’s almost time to say goodbye to 2016 and ring in 2017. Celebrate New Year’s Eve in PA with us here at The Settlers Inn in Hawley. We have a lot planned that we know you’re going to enjoy. From our 3-course dinner on New Year’s Eve to our special New Year’s Day brunch, you’ll have an incredible New Year’s Eve in PA. New Year’s Eve in Hawley
Whether you prefer to ring in the New Year in your pajamas or dressed in your finest attire, we have something for everyone here in Hawley. The Settlers Inn will be holding a traditional celebration in the dining room on the eve of December 31st.
New Year’s Eve Menu
The evening will consist of a 3-course, Prix Fixe menu served from 5:30pm to 10:00pm. The menu will feature items like Baked Onion Soup, Asian BBQ Prime Beef over Sesame Soba Noodle Salad and Oyster Shooters. Cleanse your palate with the Chef’s special Champagne Pomegranate Sorbet before an entrée of Seared Striped Sea Bass or Grilled Petite Filet Mignons. Save room for dessert as there will be Chocolate Ganache Tarts, Vanilla Crème Brulee and Settlers Inn Classic Toffee Pudding. Diners will enjoy the music of Dan Bradley on the piano throughout the evening.
We would love to have you spend the entire weekend with us at The Settlers Inn. Our New Year’s Eve lodging special consists of a 2-night stay in the accommodation of your choice, dinner for 2, and a full country breakfast the next morning. Most of our 23 guest rooms feature a seasonal fireplace. Curl up in your robe, settle in by the fire and countdown to midnight in the comfort of your room if you prefer. The party continues the next day with our New Year’s Day Brunch starting at only $39.00 per person.
Our sister property, Ledges Hotel, will also be hosting a rocking celebration on New Year’s Eve. Glass will hold 2 seatings that evening featuring a seasonal Prix Fixe menu. New Year’s Eve in PA
In other parts of the state, celebrations range from a giant pickle drop in Dillsburg, to a Marshmallow Peep drop in Bethlehem. A lit strawberry is dropped for the countdown in Harrisburg, and a Yuengling beer bottle is raised on the flagpole in Pottsville. Pennsylvania is home to some pretty unique traditions when it comes to ringing in the New Year.
If you are looking for skiing or tubing in the Pocono Mountains, Blue Mountain Resort is holding their own special New Year’s kickoff party. Families can tube the slopes on December 31st from 8:00pm to 1:00am. There will be a DJ, a buffet-style dinner and a champagne toast for guests 21 and older. Tickets can be purchased online.
