For shopping in Narrowsburg, you must visit Dyberry Weaver on Main Street.  Artist Charles Handley Blanchard’s pieces are unique and each one is a piece of original artwork.  There are handmade tapestries and handbags made with hand dyed wool.  The store acts as both Charles showroom and studio so you might even see him at work creating a new piece.  For a vast selection of wines and spirits, check out Narrowsburg Fine Wine and Spirits also located on Main Street.  The owner is a great resource and can make recommendations depending upon what you need.  All price points are represented and they even offer 10% off case discounts.

Every July, the town of Narrowsburg holds a festival known as Riverfest.  This year’s festival will be held on Sunday, July 26th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  This music, art, and environmental festival will feature a live poster auction with dozens of original artwork that will be auctioned off.  The kids will also have fun at the kids korner playing games and creating their own original artwork.  In addition to great food for sale at the festival, there will be artist-made items for sale including jewelry, pottery, textiles, and wood pieces.

Narrowsburg, NY is home to the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance which presents Riverfest each year.  The Alliance provides a service to artists and art organizations and encourages and supports the art community.  Cultural programs can be seen throughout the year at the Tusten Theatre, monthly film screenings at Callicoon Theater and art exhibits at galleries around town are just a few of the things to look forward to during the year.

Narrowsburg is not only a great location for viewing the Delaware River, but you can jump right in and explore the Delaware River by canoe or kayak.  Skinners Falls can be found about 5 miles above Narrowsburg.  It’s a great spot for canoeing and kayaking with its waves up to 2 feet and Class II rapids.  Lander’s River Trips has been servicing the Delaware River since 1955.  They are experts in floating down the Delaware and their excursions make a fun outing for groups and families.

For a quick pick me up, be sure to stop by Coffee Creations at 25 Main Street.  Hot coffee and fresh baked pastries and croissants are a perfect pairing for a morning out or if you are around at lunch, try their soup and sandwiches.  The Whistle Stop Café is a local hotspot with their menu of homemade soups, lunch and dinner specials, and kids menu.  The atmosphere is casual and the food is delicious.  They are located at 119 Kirk Road near the Delaware River and Historic Fort Delaware.
