Delaware River tubingThe summer season is quickly approaching and with that comes long and hot summer days.  Beat the heat this summer with an adventure, tubing down the Delaware River.  Delaware River tubing is a relaxing and fun way to spend the day with family and friends and it’s perfect for all ages.  Tubing is also a great activity for summertime as you are in the water a majority of the trip down the river so you stay nice and cool.  The Delaware River provides many miles of cool water and beautiful scenery so be sure to plan extra time to swim and take it all in during your tubing excursion.

Kittatinny Canoes offers daily trips down the Delaware River.  Two tubing trips are scheduled daily and meet at River Beach Campsite and Barryville Adventure Center in New York.  The trip down the river is a 3-mile float and can last around two to three hours.  Tubing is $26.00 per day per person with transportation provided to the starting location.  Other adventures that Kittatinny offers include canoeing, kayaking, and rafting.

Twin Rivers Tubing also specializes in adventures on the Delaware River and can be found inside the Sandbar in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.  Tubing with Twin Rivers is $20.00 during the week and $25.00 on weekends.  This family owned and operated business offers free key check, free parking and equipment included.  When tubing with Twin Rivers, plan on a 2-hour float down the river.

No need to be hungry during your tubing trip.  The Famous River Hot Dog Man has been serving up lunch on the river since 1987.  When booking your excursion with Delaware River Tubing, a complimentary meal is included with their package.  In addition to hot dogs, their menu offers chicken sandwiches, nachos, and burgers too.  Delaware River Tubing trips can take anywhere from 3 to 4 hours to complete.  Their hours vary during the season.  In season, they are open from 10:00am to 6:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am to 7:00pm on the weekends.  Group rates apply to groups of 20 or more.  General admission during the week is $26.16 per rider and $32.71 on weekends and holidays.

With their season opening up in May, River Country has been the place to tube in Pennsylvania since 1967.  River Country offers six different styles of tubes including the deluxe snuggletube to ride in with a friend.  They offer early bird specials and season passes.  Call them at 215-297-5000 for any additional information.
