Halfway between Hawley and Milford, PA in the Delaware Highlands Region hides the adventure outfitter for all outdoorsman: Alice’s Wonderland. Alice’s Wonderland specializes in providing visitors and locals of the Pocono and Catskill Mountains the supplies they need to enjoy the many exciting activities available in the area. Tucked away in the woods, the store’s unassuming exterior can be as deceiving as the keyhole that led Alice to Disney’s wonderland, but inside Alice’s Wonderland of Greeley, PA, shoppers find a vast selection of clothing and accessories for whatever outdoor adventure awaits.
Hiking
There are plenty of hiking trails available near The Settlers Inn. Whether you are planning to climb the waterfalls of Pike County, hike around Shuman Point on Lake Wallenpaupack or stroll the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary, you will need the proper hiking boots, hydration, maps and walking sticks. You can find all the hiking supplies you need at Alice’s Wonderland. Hiking shoes and boots are available for men, women and children in a variety of brands, styles and price points. Water bottles and packs are also available.
Biking
Explore the town of Hawley by bike, but don’t forget your sunglasses and appropriate bike clothes! Our innkeepers can provide you with some suggested biking tours and a bike through our shared bike program, but we leave it to the pros at Alice’s Wonderland to provide you with the accessories you will need to make your Hawley, PA biking experience a positive one. Cruise along the Lackawaxen River or go for the Wayne County Scenic Ride while sporting cool new shades from Alice’s Wonderland.
Skiing
Ski Big Bear is our local skiing and snowboarding resort. It’s great for families and beginners and is only about an hour from The Settlers Inn. Before you head up the mountain, we suggest you stop by Alice’s Wonderland to stock up on cold weather gear. Outerwear, fleece, insulation clothing and more are available for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Brands like Patagonia and Marmot will keep you warm on the slopes and The Settlers Inn will keep you warm après ski with your in-room fireplace or Jacuzzi tub.
