Annual Storytelling Dinner

DSC00055It’s that time of year again! This beloved annual event of toe-tapping music, sculpted gourds and stories, stories, stories has become an institution.

The feast begins with butternut squash soup with walnut tuille, greens  salad with fresh figs and maple horseradish dressing, and warm goat cheese on greens with apple pepper jam, local apples. Entrées include chicken breast stuffed with smoked gouda and pepper with roasted sweet potatoes, scallion tomato compote and vegetable medley; marinated flank steak, sauteed mushrooms and onions, whipped potatoes and vegetable medley; handcut fresh fettucini tossed in parmesan asiago cream with grilled autumn vegetables. Featured desserts are pumpkin creme brulee, Settlers Inn english toffee pudding and double chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.
